Got Spikes?

This little pink noid Phalaenopsis orchid came from the Master Gardener Sale. The little pink flower is a little larger than a quarter and is a very bright pink color. It has 3.5 separate spikes growing right now.

Watch my Purple Vanda Bloom!

This progression of pictures of my purple vanda started on 4/20, and reached a full bloom tonight 5/4. I do not know the name of this purple vanda. It has a large flower that is a spotted purple color. This was a $25 vanda from the Heathcote sale a few weeks ago. I have a slide show with pictures in order of the date taken.

This Weeks Orchid Blooms

Blooms, Blooms, Blooms, the porch as blooms everywhere. That is what tonights post is about. Along with the blooms there are 4 spikes coming in, so more on the way! I have 2 pictures of the plant stands on the porch and a slide show of some of the better pictures of the blooms. Paph Raisen Pie 'Hsinying' X SIB Paph. Supersuk 'Eureka' in Bloom

This Paphiopedilum orchid is a Paph Raisen Pie 'Hsinying' X SIB Paph. Supersuk 'Eureka'. This is my first paph and it has finally opened its bloom. Paphs are so unusual with their lower cup lip. It looks hairy and the bright colors are so vivid. I am very excited about my first paph. I just hope to keep it alive till the next bloom.Here are some pictures from this evening.
