These Washingtonia filifera , California Fan Palm , or Petticoat Palms were my very first sprouts from seeds I planted. These also have been the fastest growing palms yet from my sprouts. Most of these have there full 2nd leaf in. The first sprout is from 2/4, and then the second sprout picture is from 2/11. The rest follow from 2/27, 3/4, 3/26, 3/30, and the finally 4/12.
Well being born in a paradise like I was here in South Florida I have always taken all of my tropical plants and palms around me for granted. Just recently realizing how lucky I am. I'm going to take full advantage of this tropical climate. This blog is going to show all of my trials and tribulations with growing different species of plants and trees. Feel free to check back regularly and watch my plants grow.
