After 5 months of this Vanda Pachara Delight hanging in my tree it has finally bloomed. This is the first bloom from this orchid. I bought this from the Port St Lucie Orchid Society orchid show back in the beginning of March. Here is the original post of the new orchids from back in Mar. this is the vanda hanging on the far left side of the vanda row. The first shot with the spike appearing was taken on July 15, and the first open flower was on Aug. 4 completing the full bloom on Aug. 8. This vanda produce 5 flowers this bloom and the flowers must be at least 5" across. Some of the largest vanda flowers I have had yet.
Well being born in a paradise like I was here in South Florida I have always taken all of my tropical plants and palms around me for granted. Just recently realizing how lucky I am. I'm going to take full advantage of this tropical climate. This blog is going to show all of my trials and tribulations with growing different species of plants and trees. Feel free to check back regularly and watch my plants grow.
