This is the progress of the Phoenix canariensis , or Canary Island Date Palm seedlings. I picked these seeds in the beginning of Dec and the first sprouts appeared 2/5. Then the dates are from 2/14, 2/27, 3/7, 3/18, 3/26, 3/30, and finally 4/12. I have 1 CIDP that has grown a curly strap leaf. You can see the advance of each turn in the leaf. This has been an interesting one to watch.
Well being born in a paradise like I was here in South Florida I have always taken all of my tropical plants and palms around me for granted. Just recently realizing how lucky I am. I'm going to take full advantage of this tropical climate. This blog is going to show all of my trials and tribulations with growing different species of plants and trees. Feel free to check back regularly and watch my plants grow.
