This past weekend The Port St Lucie Orchid Society had its 15th annual Orchid Show and Sale. Being new to this plant and flower thing this is my first orchid show and all I can say is WOW! They had some outstanding floor displays, and the vendors designed tabletop displays set up all through out the room. I have a few pictures of the displays. I can not believe how extraordinary orchids are. The many varieties and each one has its own characteristics from the different fragrances, sizes, colors, and pedals. I made some adoptions expanded the collection but those will come later. So for now here are those shots of the show. Click on the picture for a large shot so you can see some of the many different varieties.
Well being born in a paradise like I was here in South Florida I have always taken all of my tropical plants and palms around me for granted. Just recently realizing how lucky I am. I'm going to take full advantage of this tropical climate. This blog is going to show all of my trials and tribulations with growing different species of plants and trees. Feel free to check back regularly and watch my plants grow.
